Please leave enough time to pack up to leave the campsite on time. We reserve the right to charge a late check-out fee of €10 per pitch. Further fees may apply if you or your possession still occupy the pitch as new arrivals check-in, up to the cost of a further night.
QUIET TIME
We operate a quiet time policy from 22:00 to 08:00 to ensure the enjoyment of all our guests. Please respect the campers on our site - noise after 22:00 must be kept to a minimum (i.e. quiet talking around the campfire). Persistent noisy guests and/or visitors that disturb our other guests will be asked to leave without refund. If you are looking for a party site, then this isn’t the campsite for you. If you, or anyone in your group wish to be noisy and obnoxious into the early hours of the morning, choose another site.
The management reserves the right to terminate the booking of any person whose conduct is detrimental to the campsite or comfort of other visitors. While we do not mind guests consuming a sensible amount of wine/beer/alcohol, the excessive consumption of alcohol around the campsite and within the accommodation is not allowed. Do not come back from the pub expecting the party to continue - and remember, tents are paper thin.
RECYCLING & WASTE
Please do not litter, or dispose of litter or food waste on the fires or bushes.
FIREPITS & BBQ’s
Firepits may only be used in touring pitches and must be on a hard-standing area - it must be attended at all times and fully distinguished before bed. The two communal fire pits are attended by a member of the team and logs are provided. Gathering of firewood from the area is not permitted. Do not help yourself to our log stores. Do not attempt to move or rearrange firepits.
Barbecues/BBQ - must not be placed on any grass - even if they are tall with legs, they must be situated on a hard-standing area. Our communal area near the shack is large enough for a number of people to enjoy their own BBQ in safety, and without damaging the grounds. If you have a suitable heatproof table, and use the heat blocks we have, a small BBQ can be used over by the tent. You must not place the used hot BBQ on the grass.
You are responsible for the correct use of your firepit or BBQ - keep fires sensible and safe, you must consider the safety of your group, other campers, and the campsite at all times. DO NOT DISPOSE OF HOT ASHES IN THE BIN, ON THE GRASS, OR IN THE BUSHES. Hot and cold ash must be emptied onto the communal rock-lined firepit near the Sleepy Hut.
WIFI
WiFi is free and available in our communal areas - whilst it is a good system, it is not completely foolproof, and we offer no guarantee that its signal will be available at your pitch or accommodation.
There are two WiFi options - the 5g option has a shorter range than the 2.4g - but the 5g option is faster, so it’s very useful if you’d like to download music, books, and videos to watch later on your devices.
TOURING PITCH & AWNING
- Our touring bays are only for campervans, motorhomes, touring caravans, and roof tents - they are not to be booked for a tent pitch. We reserve the right to cancel the booking if you have a normal tent and not a touring vehicle.
- Electric hook-up is available for an additional €5 per night.
- There is an additional charge of €5 per night for using a groundsheet with your awning. The groundsheet MUST be a breathable one. We do not permit mats on the grass. If you don’t use a groundsheet, then there is no additional charge.
- Some drive-away awnings do not come with a breathable groundsheet, nor is it removable - please contact us to if you have this type, or take a look to see if a lower-tier pitch suits, where the awning is placed on hardstanding.
- We are a very small campsite and we rarely have spare pitches to swap - you are responsible for ensuring the pitch you have booked is suitable for the type and size of your vehicle, your needs and mobility.
- Lower-tier pitches have a steep walk up a short hill to access the bathrooms and communal facilities.
TOILET WASTE DISPOSAL
The campsite runs on a septic tank, so if you’re needing to empty a chemical toilet it must be the green fluid option, not blue. Under no circumstances can 'pink flush', blue toilet chemicals, nor any type of wipes to be flushed (including biodegradable ones), into our system. If you’ve not used the green fluid option before and have difficulty obtaining it, an alternative is any green bio laundry liquid/tab available in the supermarket.
PARKING
We have very limited parking. This means we prefer to only accept bookings if you are travelling to us in one car/vehicle. If you really need more than one parking spot, you must contact us before booking to arrange. This includes trailer space.
MUSIC
No loud music, playing a guitar around the campfire is ok. Quiet time after 22:00, any music to stop at this time.
DAY VISITORS
Sorry but we can not accommodate day visitors.
SMOKING
Do not drop your cigarette butts - use the dedicated ash-trays.
Do not throw cigarette butts into the hedges.

DAMAGES
We do reserve the right to charge for damages as they arise but do not take a security deposit on arrival.
GENERAL
You must not do anything (or omit to do anything) which may cause damage or loss to Sleepy Hollows or facilities, to other customers or cause nuisance, annoyance, disturbance, inconvenience or injury to any other persons at the campsite. Any wilful damage to the site or any other property will result in you and those within your group being asked to immediately leave. If you are asked to leave under these circumstances, no refund will be given to you or anyone else in your group.
When driving your vehicle in the campsite you must adhere to a speed limit of 10 kmph. Learner drivers are not permitted to drive any vehicle at the campsite.
Sleepy Hollows is a working campsite and woodland with some areas and buildings being out of bounds for safety reasons, so please take note of any signs.
As our site is located in a rural environment, we do not accept responsibility for any damage, injury or inconvenience caused by plants, trees or wildlife. Please be aware some plants are poisonous to pets, so must be accompanied at all times.
We can not accept responsibility for loss, damage or theft of personal property, personal injury or death of any person but only insofar as such injury or death is not caused by our negligence.
For safety and insurance reasons no candles/tea lights or naked flames are allowed inside the Sleepy Hut and Sleepy Bell accommodation units. Please bring at least one torch or headlight.
This campsite is for holiday use only, therefore working or trading from the campsite is not permitted.
We reserve the right to change the terms and conditions, prices or website without notice. We also reserve the right to refuse entry to the site and to cancel bookings if necessary (e.g. due to extreme weather conditions).
PETS
Pets are welcome by arrangement only - we must be notified in advance, and we don’t charge for them to stay. Remember to bring waste disposal bags - all mess must be cleared up onsite, and we provide a dedicated bin. Importantly we advise a flea and tick solution to be used prior to travelling - particularly if you are planning trips to any forests or beaches in Ireland where there is likely to be Deer and livestock. Please be aware some plants in the area are poisonous to pets, so they must be accompanied at all times. As campers travelling with pets ourselves, we’ve learnt a few tricks along the way - so we’ve compiled a bit of useful advice and links here:
